Remembering back 100 years

Well over 300 people attended the Centenray Remembrance Day service at Holy Trinity, and it was standing room only even in the overflow! It was great to see so many young people’s groups on parade, and Revd James Packman delivered an inspiring message.

Café Create

The atmosphere in the Trinity Centre ranged from warmly relaxed to vibrant and buzzing as the evening progressed. Acts in the first half included poems from Pete & Judy and four-and-a-half songs from Simon McSweeney, while headliners Vervain had every foot tapping and laughter flowing with the virtuosity of their performance after the interval. The Trinity Centre was packed, the kazoo theme tune (don’t ask) was amazing and the laughter must have been heard up the street. Excellent evening, and thanks as always to the team who make it all possible.

The Archdeacon cut the ribbon and prayed a…

A great evening of entertainment

Those who looked at the weather on Friday evening and decided to stay at home missed out on a treat. Atlum Schema is no stranger to Café Create regulars, but this was the first time he had provided the entire programme for an evening, and he did not disappoint. His songs covered the whole range,…

Farewell to Stan

This afternoon we say goodbye, in a service of thanksgiving for his life now ended, to our dear friend, Reader and 9.00 congregational leader Stan Carpenter. Stan has meant so  much to so many of us, and will be dearly missed. Well done, good and faithful servant: enter now into the joy of your Lord.
